Advanced Mass Transfer Training

Through the Koch Engineered Solutions Institute℠, we offer accredited mass transfer courses led by some of the world’s most recognized engineers and educators. Organizations trust Koch-Glitsch to educate their engineers on the fundamentals and specifics of mass transfer technology. Conducted twice a year, our weeklong mass transfer school is a thorough, intensive program led by experienced personnel at our Wichita, Kansas, USA headquarters.

Collaborative Coursework

Our program, designed by engineers for engineers in the refining, petrochemical, chemical, and EPC industries, includes in-class instruction, design exercises, and hands-on sessions at our world-class pilot plant. Here, students gain a better understanding of:

  • The applicability of different mass transfer devices

Continuing Education Units

The Koch Engineered Solutions Institute℠ is an Authorized Member of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are used internationally to maintain records of completion of organized post-secondary education. To receive a certificate and continuing education units, participants must attend at least 80% of the class, take a pretest, score at least an 80% on the post test, complete a course evaluation form, and complete all prerequisites, if any.

KESI, sponsored by Koch-Glitsch, has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 11130 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 350, Reston, VA 20191. In obtaining this approval, the Koch Engineered Solutions Institute℠ has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards, which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of its Authorized Provider membership status, KESI is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET standards. Koch Engineered Solutions Institute has awarded more than 8,000 CEUs to participants who have successfully completed courses at the Koch Engineered Solutions Institute℠.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received at least 30 calendar days before the start of a class will be 100% refunded. Cancellations less than 30 calendar days before the start of a class will not be refunded. However, students may at their option find their own replacement up to 15 business days prior to the start of the course. Students who fail to show up for a class will not receive a refund. If a student cannot attend their scheduled course, they may transfer their registration to another course of their choosing with no penalty incurred. This transfer must occur 15 business days prior to the start of a course.

We reserve the right to deny admission for any reason permitted by law including, without limitation, the admission of employees of companies that Koch Engineered Solutions deems to be a competitor. All decisions regarding admissions are made without regard to color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, or other legally protected factors. We reserve the right to cancel the registration of a student at our sole discretion. In such event, we will refund the course tuition.

    Introduction to Mass Transfer is an online course designed to be taken as a pre-requisite for the four-day in-person training class OR as a standalone class to provide onboarding into the Mass Transfer industry. This course is designed to provide the student some of the basic information that will be required to take the Mass Transfer course (KG178). The course consists of approximately 7 modules, which take approximately 6-8 hours to complete online.

    This 4-day course is taught by engineering professionals with extensive mass transfer experience. It combines classroom lectures with hands-on experiments in a world-class pilot plant. The lectures include class-worked examples, videos, demonstrations, viewing product samples, and the use of detailed notes. During the course of each session, attendees will participate in several pilot-plant experiments that will demonstrate the working of the equipment that were discussed in the classroom.
