BETA RING® random packing is engineered to provide superior performance in mass transfer applications, particularly where high liquid loads and low gas loads are present. Its innovative design includes strategically placed slots and internal tabs of varying lengths, ensuring effective use of the packing surface area and promoting uniform liquid distribution. This configuration facilitates an uninterrupted flow of gas and liquid, providing additional drip points that enhance liquid film surface renewal, thereby improving mass and heat transfer efficiency. The robust mechanical strength of BETA RING® packing makes it suitable for deep bed applications, and its low pressure drop characteristics contribute to reduced operating costs. Common applications include deaeration processes in industries such as soft drink production, beer brewing, potable water treatment, boiler feed, and volatile organic compound removal. 

The BETA RING® random packing utilizes a unique, proprietary construction of slots, tabs, and spokes to provide excellent surface area for effective gas and liquid contact and improved separation efficiency. The open structure inhibits fouling by allowing solids to be more easily flushed through the bed by the liquid.

The low aspect ratio of the BETA RING® random packing results in preferential orientation when loaded into the tower, which increases capacity and provides lower pressure drop compared to Pall rings and saddles.
